Child Sponsor Program

Our child sponsorship program enables supporters to directly provide assistance to students at our school, The Samaritan Nursery and Primary School in Soroti, Uganda. Over 100 children are educated at the school and provided with healthy meals and medical care. Students attend the school 12 months a year at a total cost of $250. At this time, we have 106 children in need of sponsorship. Sponsoring a child will provide everything the child needs for a 12 month school year (incl. their education, food, and medical care).

Steps:

1. To begin the process, please review and complete the Child Sponsorship Form. Payment can be facilitated either online via Square or by check for those in the U.S. and cashier’s check for international donors. Checks can be made out to: Core Uganda c/o Father Alex Ojacor 3318 Clarence Ave. Berwyn, IL 60402. Your sponsorship is tax deductible.

   • Payment options are:

     • 1-payment of $250

     • 2-payments of $125

     • Square payments at a min of $22/month.

     • Note: Once a sponsor, your participation will be carried into the next year, unless you choose to remove payment the next year.

2. Once payment is made, we will choose a child based on the greatest financial need, and you will receive the child's biography as an introduction as well as correspondence details.

3. Ongoing Correspondence: We will send you an initial letter from the child and/or school work (depending on the child's age and skill level), and will provide the opportunity for two way correspondence with a specific cadence over the course of the year. We will also continue to post updates and videos on our website and Facebook pages from the school.

CORE Uganda is a non-profit organization run by a committee of volunteers. All sponsorship go to the children.
