Who We Are
CORE Uganda (Creating Opportunities through Reaching Out and Education) is a community-based organization serving vulnerable individuals and families in Ongutoi Village, Soroti, northeastern Uganda.
We work alongside the community to address interconnected challenges affecting children, families, and individuals who have limited access to basic resources and opportunities. Our programs focus on education, food security, clean water, psychosocial support, and community development, with particular attention to children and families experiencing heightened vulnerability, including former LRA abductees and children living with HIV.
At the heart of our work is a simple belief: communities themselves are the primary drivers of lasting change. We therefore take a bottom-up, participatory approach that places local people at the center of identifying needs, developing solutions, and building sustainable pathways forward.
